Sometimes, we have a Document that we use repeatedly, but when we use it, we only need to update a few details, such as the Date And Time. Instead of correcting the Date And Time manually each time, there is a feature in Word that we can use, where the Date And Time Updates Automatically. All you have to do, is to follow the steps below:
We must select the Insert tab and then from the right area of the ribbon, we locate the area named Text as shown in the image below.
Then from the Text area, we select the command Date & Time in order for us, to quickly add the Date or the Time or both in our Word document.
Once the Date & Time command is selected, the Date and Time dialog box appears as shown in the image below. From this dialog box, at the left area we have all the Available Formats of Dates and Times that we want to use. All we have to do is to select the Available Format that we want. At the right of the window we have the Language area. Once we select the Language, we can select from the Languages that we have installed, in order for the Date & Time Available Formats to change to the selected language.
At the bottom left corner of the Date and Time dialog box, we have the option to activate the Update Automatically command. What does this mean? Every time that we decide to open or print the Document, the Date will always be updated to the current one.
Once we have done all the adjustments that we want, we just press the OK button which is located at the bottom left corner of the Date & Time dialog box in order for the Date to be inserted, as shown in the image below.
