Background Removal of Pictures in Microsoft Office

In Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook we can use the automatic background removal or we can even draw lines to indicate which areas of the Picture Background we want to keep or which areas we want to keep. By using the Background Removal, we accent or highlight the subject of the picture or to remove the distracting detail. Background Removal is not available for Vector Graphic Files. Remove Background in Office English

In the image below, I have Microsoft Word running, and I have inserted an image in the Document. Once the image is selected, the Format tab appears where from the left of the ribbon and at the area named Adjust we select the command Remove Background.

Once the Removal Background command is selected, the Background Removal tab appears with the following commands available:

  • Mark Areas To Keep: We can draw lines to mark areas to keep in the picture.
  • Mark Areas To Remove: We can draw lines to mark areas to remove in the picture
  • Discard All Changes: We close the Background Removal command and discard all the changes.
  • Keep Changes: We close the Background Removal command and keep all the changes.

In the image below, I have Microsoft Excel running, and I have inserted an image in the Spreadsheet. Once the image is selected, the Format tab appears where from the left of the ribbon and at the area named Adjust we select the command Remove Background.

Once the Remove Background command is selected, the Background Removal tab appears with the following commands available:

  • Mark Areas To Keep: We can draw lines to mark areas to keep in the picture.
  • Mark Areas To Remove: We can draw lines to mark areas to remove in the picture
  • Discard All Changes: We close the Background Removal command and discard all the changes.
  • Keep Changes: We close the Background Removal command and keep all the changes.

In the image below, I have Microsoft PowerPoint running, and I have inserted an image in the Slide. Once the image is selected, the Format tab appears where from the left of the ribbon and at the area named Adjust we select the command Remove Background.

  • Mark Areas To Keep: We can draw lines to mark areas to keep in the picture.

In the image below, I have Microsoft Outlook running, and I have inserted an image in the e-Mail. Once the image is selected, the Format tab appears where from the left of the ribbon and at the area named Adjust we select the command Remove Background.

  • Mark Areas To Keep: We can draw lines to mark areas to keep in the picture.
  • Mark Areas To Remove: We can draw lines to mark areas to remove in the picture
  • Discard All Changes: We close the Background Removal command and discard all the changes.
  • Keep Changes: We close the Background Removal command and keep all the changes.

Background Removal

In the image below I have used the Background Removal command where we can see the results on how the image will show. A very handful command, in order for us to concentrate more on what we want to be highlighted in the image.
