Enable or Disable Microsoft Office 365 Intelligent Services

What are Intelligent Services though? They bring the power of the Cloud to our Microsoft Office apps to save us time and in order for us to produce better results. They help us improve our writing in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook. They deliver us dynamic Presentations in PowerPoint.

Enable Disable Intelligent Services

In order to use these Intelligent Services though we must enable them, otherwise some features such as Design Ideas for PowerPoint, Smart Look Up for Word, the Editor for Word and Outlook, may not have the results desired. Microsoft needs to be able to securely collect our written or visual content. In order for us to learn how to Enable or Disable Microsoft Office Intelligent Services, all needed is to continue reading.

In the image below, I have Microsoft Word running and I have first selected the File tab in order to move to Backstage View. From Backstage View then, and from the drop-down menu from the left I selected the category Options. Once the category Options is selected the Word Options dialog box appears. Then we make sure that the category General is selected from the left and then in the middle of the window we scroll down until we locate the area named: Office Intelligent Services

Under this area we are notified with the following:

Intelligent Services Bring The Power Of The Cloud To The Office Apps To Help, Save You Time And Produce Better Results. To Provide These Service, Microsoft Need To Be Able To Collect Your Search Terms And Document Content

If we agree we just enable the check box next to the command Enable Services

Whatever we decide, at the end we just need to press the Ok button which is located at the bottom right corner of the Word Options dialog box.

Word Intelligent Services

In the image below, I have Microsoft Excel running and I have first selected the File tab in order to move to Backstage View. From Backstage View then, and from the drop-down menu from the left I selected the category Options. Once the category Options is selected the Excel Options dialog box appears. Then we make sure that the category General is selected from the left and then in the middle of the window we scroll down until we locate the area named: Office Intelligent Services
