If we are annoyed by the Red and Green underlines in our Documents and we do not want them filling in our Document, catching the viewers attentions there is a simple adjustment to be made so we can avoid it. All you need to do is continue reading the post below.
We must select the File tab in order to move to Backstage View. Once in Backstage View, from the drop-down menu at the left, where we select the category Options as shown in the image below.
Once we select the Options category, the Word Options dialog box appears, where from the left we select the category Proofing. Under this category we can change how Word Corrects and Formats our Text. Once the Proofing category is selected, we locate the area of the dialog box where it mentions When Correcting Spelling in Microsoft Office Programs. At the bottom of this area is the command Exceptions For.
If we select the drop-down menu at the right of the command Exceptions For:, we can select for which Open Document or New Document the exception will be made for as shown in the image below.
At the bottom of the Exceptions For area, we can either activate or deactivate one or both of the following commands:
Hide Spelling Errors in this Document Only: By activating this command no Spelling Errors will be shown in our Document (indicated by the Red Underlining).
Hide Grammar Errors in this Document Only: By activating this command no Grammar Errors will be displayed in our Document (indicated by the Green Underlining).
That is, it. A simple adjustment in order to get rid of the annoying Red and Green Underlines in our Document. Keep in mind though that we need to be very good in Grammar and Spelling to do such an adjustment.
