Which Are The Updated Features for Info for our Office Files;

In Microsoft Office applications, most of the information that we need about our actual active Document, Workbook or Presentation are available in one location. This location is the Info pane of the Backstage View. In this location, we can access information about permissions, prepare our content for sharing, recover if possible unsaved Files. Now available are even more commands available for us to use, which will be described in the post below. Just keep on reading to find out how to Upload, Share, Copy Path and even Open the File Location in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Updated Info about Microsoft Office 365 Programs

In the image below, Microsoft Word is running, where I have selected the File tab to move to Backstage View and then from the drop-down menu from the left, I have selected the Info category.

Right below, we have the following for options to use, and which are the following:

  • Upload: By choosing this command, the Upload dialog box will appear, where we will be prompted To Choose The Desired Location To Upload Our Document.
  • Share: By choosing this command, the Share dialog box will appear, where we will be prompted To Upload A Copy Of Our Document To OneDrive To Share It.
  • Copy Path: By selecting this command Copy Path, the Path and the Name of our File will be copied in our Clipboard waiting for us to Paste it
  • Open File Location: By selecting this command, Windows Explorer will appear displaying the Location of the specified File.

Info Update for Word 365

In the image below, Microsoft Excel is running, where I have selected the File tab to move to Backstage View and then from the drop-down menu from the left, I have selected the Info category.

Info Update for PowerPoint

In the image below I have selected the Upload command, where the Upload dialog box appears, where we are prompted To Choose The Desired Location To Upload Our Document. In the example below I have the OneDrive Personal account option, and OneDrive Business account option to select from.

In the image below I have selected the Share command, where the Share dialog box appears, where we are prompted To Upload A Copy Of Our Document To OneDrive To Share It. In the example below I have the OneDrive Personal account option, and OneDrive Business account option to select from. We also can Attach A Copy Instead as a Word Document or a PDF File.

In the image below, I have selected the command Copy Path, where the Path and the Name of our File are copied in our Clipboard waiting for us to Paste it. In the image below, I have opened Notepad and pasted the Path and Name of the File.

In the image below, I have selected the Open File Locations, where Windows Explorer appeared displaying us with the Location of the specified File.
