What’s New Feature Available in Microsoft Office Applications

Many times, we find ourselves looking for what is the latest feature available in Microsoft Office Applications. We struggle around the application, so we can find it. Sometimes we find it immediately, and sometimes we don’t. Well, now we don’t have to worry anymore, because this is where the What Is New Feature appears in Microsoft Office Applications. All you need to do is to keep reading the post below.

What Is New In Microsoft Office

First, many times when we start an application we will get a pop up dialog box as shown below, mentioning What Is New.

In the image below, I have Microsoft Word running and I have selected the tab Help of the Ribbon. On the Help tab we have the following options to choose from and which are the following:

  • Help: By selecting this command, we will get Help by using Microsoft Office.
  • Contact Support: By selecting this command, we will get Help from an Office Support Agent.
  • Feedback: By selecting this command, we will be able to send Feedback to Microsoft Office. Feedback is described in a previous post of mine which you can find here.
  • Show Training: By selecting this command, we will get Online Training and Learning Content.
  • What’s New: Be selecting this command, we will See What are the New Features available in Microsoft Word.

In the image below I have selected the What’s New command from the Help tab of the ribbon. Once selected the What’s New task pane appears at the right of our Word application. On the What’s New task pane we can type in our Keywords in the text area for what we are searching for. Right below, in the middle of the task pane we have available the latest New Feature available in Microsoft Word. In this example, it is the Focus feature which is available on the View tab of the ribbon.

In the image below I have selected the What’s New command from the Help tab of the ribbon. Once selected the What’s New task pane appears at the right of our Excel application. On the What’s New task pane we can type in our Keywords in the text area for what we are searching for. Right below, in the middle of the task pane we have available what is the New Feature available in Microsoft Excel. In example below, we do not have a new feature, but we are prompted to check out a previous one which was the Speedy Lookup Function.

In Excel on the Help tab, we have a few more commands available and which are the following:

  • Community: By selecting this command, we Can Connect With The Experts Who Build And Use The Product.
  • Blog Site: By selecting this command, we can Stay Up To Date With On The Latest News With Excel.
  • Suggest A Feature: By selecting this command, we can Help Build A Better Version of Excel.

What's New Feature in Microsoft Office

In the image below I have selected the What’s New command from the Help tab of the ribbon. Once selected the What’s New task pane appears at the right of our PowerPoint application. On the What’s New task pane we can type in our Keywords in the text area for what we are searching for. Right below, in the middle of the task pane we have available what is the New Feature available in Microsoft PowerPoint. In example below, we do not have a new feature, but we are prompted to check out a previous one which was the Type Hands Free.

In the image below I have selected the What’s New command from the Help tab of the ribbon. Once selected the What’s New task pane appears at the right of our Outlook application. On the What’s New task pane we can type in our Keywords in the text area for what we are searching for. Right below, in the middle of the task pane we have available what is the New Feature available in Microsoft Outlook. In example below, we do not have a new feature, but we are prompted to check out a previous one which was the Read Aloud.

In Outlook on the Help tab, we have a few more commands available and which are the following:

  • Suggest a Feature: By selecting this command, we can Suggest a Feature that we want in the future to Microsoft.
  • Support Tool: By selecting this command, we will Install Microsoft Support And Recovery Assistant For Office 365.
  • Get Diagnostics: By selecting this command, Microsoft will collect log files from our computer to address the issue.

What's New Feature in Microsoft Office

So, with the What’s New Feature we know at any time and when we want to, what is the latest Feature available in Microsoft Office Applications.
