How To Handle Links in Microsoft Office Applications?

In Microsoft Office applications we can now decide how Links will open. Either in the Browser or in Office Desktop Apps. This way it is up to us to open the Links in our preferred mode. This feature once we turn it on, it will apply on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. This new feature is named Link Handling, and to find out how to turn on or off this feature just keep on reading the post below.

How To Handle Links in Microsoft Office Applications

In the image below, I have Microsoft Word running, where we must select the File tab so we can move into Backstage View, and then from the drop-down menu that appears from the left we select the category Options as shown in the image below.

Once we select the category Options, the Word Options dialog box. From the left, we select the category named Advanced, and then from the middle of the dialog box, we navigate and locate the area named Link Handling. Once located, below we must activate the check box at the left of the area mentioning the following:

Once we have done the necessary adjustments, we must select the Ok button located at the bottom right corner of the Word Options dialog box.

As mentioned, this feature will work for Links to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This way if we like to work in Microsoft Office desktops usually, this way we get to work in fewer clicks by turning this feature on.
