How To Edit A Worksheet Object in a PowerPoint 365 Slide

Όπως ήδη θα γνωρίζουμε, μπορούμε να έχουμε ένα Γράφημα (Chart) του Excel ή έναν Πίνακα Δεδομένων (Data Table) του Excel που έχουμε δημιουργήσει, σε μία Διαφάνεια (Slide) του PowerPoint. Απλώς το αντιγράφουμε από το Excel και έπειτα χρησιμοποιούμε τις Επιλογές Επικόλλησης (Paste Options) για να το επικολλήσουμε στη Διαφάνεια (Slide) του PowerPoint. Με αυτόν τον τρόπο, τα Δεδομένα (Data) είναι συνδεδεμένα μεταξύ του Φύλλου Εργασίας (Worksheet) του Excel και της Διαφάνειας (Slide) του PowerPoint. Όταν θελήσουμε να αλλάξουμε ή να επεξεργαστούμε τα Δεδομένα (Data) ή το Γράφημα (Chart) από τη Διαφάνεια (Slide) του PowerPoint, έχουμε στη διάθεσή μας κάποιες επιλογές που μπορούμε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε. How To Edit A Worksheet Object in a PowerPoint 365 Slide

As we already know, we can use an Excel Chart or Excel Table Data that we created in a PowerPoint Slide. We just simply copy it from Excel and then use the Paste Options to paste into the PowerPoint Slide. This way, the Data is linked between the Excel Worksheet and the PowerPoint Slide. When we want to change or edit the Data or the Chart from the PowerPoint Slide we have several options available in order for us to use. All you need to do is to continue reading the post below.

How To Edit A Worksheet Object in PowerPoint 365

In the image below, I have inserted a Chart that I have created in Excel in a PowerPoint Slide. With the Chart, we can also see the table that contains all the Data that was used to create it.

In the following image, I have selected the area of the Object, by just clicking on it and then I right clicked on it for the shortcut menu to appear. Once the shortcut menu appears, we located the command that mentions Worksheet Object. When the Worksheet Object command is selected, the sub-menu appears which contains three commands, and which are the following:

  • Edit: By using this command, Microsoft Excel will open containing our Data and Chart where we can Edit them.
  • Open: By using this command, Microsoft Excel will open containing our Data and Chart, where once again we can Edit and Modify them.
  • Convert: By using this command, we will be able to Convert or Activate our Worksheet in a variety of types.

In the image below, I have right clicked on the Object in the PowerPoint Slide and from the shortcut menu that appeared I selected the command Worksheet Object, and then from the sub-menu I have selected the command Edit.

Once the Edit command is selected, the Worksheet Object is activated, and Microsoft Excel opens, where the Worksheet that contains our Data and Chart appears among with all the available commands. Now, we can Edit the Data or Chart and once we are finished, all we need to do is to just click outside the Worksheet Area so we can return to our PowerPoint Slide, and all the changes that we made will take place.

In the image below, I have right clicked on the Object in the PowerPoint Slide and from the shortcut menu that appeared I selected the command Worksheet Object, and then from the sub-menu I have selected the command Open.

Once the Open command is selected, the Worksheet Object is activated, and Microsoft Excel opens, where the Worksheet that contains our Data and Chart appears among with all the available commands.

In the image below, I have right clicked on the Object in the PowerPoint Slide and from the shortcut menu that appeared I selected the command Worksheet Object, and then from the sub-menu I have selected the command Convert.

Once the Convert command is selected, the Convert dialog box appears where we have to available commands:

Convert To: If we select this command, then we can select either to convert the Worksheet Object to one of the following:

  • Microsoft Excel 97-2003 Worksheet
  • Microsoft Excel Binary Worksheet
  • Microsoft Excel Macro-Enabled Worksheet
  • Microsoft Excel Worksheet
  • OpenDocument Worksheet

Activate As:

  • Microsoft Excel 97-2003 Worksheet
  • Microsoft Excel Binary Worksheet
  • Microsoft Excel Macro-Enabled Worksheet
  • OpenDocument Worksheet

This way, the Data is linked between the Excel Worksheet and the PowerPoint Slide. When we want to change or edit the Data or the Chart from the PowerPoint Slide we have several options available in order for us to use

So, there is no reason to worry about, moving between the Excel Worksheet and the PowerPoint Slide so we can change the Data or the Chart. We can do all the editing and changes we need straight through in our Slide and PowerPoint will take care of the rest.

New Ideas Function in Excel 365

Όλοι μας έχουμε κάποιες Ιδέες (Ideas) για το τι να κάνουμε με τα Δεδομένα (Data) μας σε ένα Φύλλο Εργασίας (Spreadsheet) του Excel. Σκεφτόμαστε αρκετά σκληρά, αφιερώνουμε αρκετό χρόνο και με λίγα λόγια αρκετή προσπάθεια για το πώς να αναπαραστήσουμε οπτικά τα Δεδομένα (Data) στο Φύλλο Εργασίας (Spreadsheet) τέλεια. Λοιπόν, δεν πρέπει να στεναχωριόμαστε πλέον, γιατί το Excel 365 έχει κάνει την ίδια σκέψη με μας για το πώς να κατανοήσουμε τα Δεδομένα (Data) μέσω υψηλού επιπέδου οπτικές περιλήψεις, τάσεις και μοτίβα. Το μόνο που πρέπει να κάνουμε είναι να κάνουμε ένα κλικ σε ένα κελί που περιέχει δεδομένα ή να την επιλέξουμε όλοι την περιοχή, και με τη χρήση της εντολής Ιδέες (Ideas), το Excel θα αναλύσει τα δεδομένα μας και θα επιστρέψει ενδιαφέρουσες τιμές για αυτές. New Ideas Function in Excel 365

Suddenly, we all have Ideas in what to do with our Data in an Excel Spreadsheet. We think hard, waste a lot of time and put in general, a lot of effort on how to represent visually our Data in our Spreadsheet perfectly. Well we don’t have to worry anymore, because Excel 365 has had the exact thought on how to help us understand our Data through high-level visual summaries, trends and patterns. All we need to do is to simply click on a cell in a data range, or select the whole data range, and with the use of the Ideas command, Excel will analyze our data and return interesting values about it. New Ideas Command in Excel 365

In the image below, I have opened a Spreadsheet that contains data, where it is possible to use the Ideas command. I have selected the area needed, which contains the data needed for the Ideas command.

The Home tab of the ribbon must be activated where at the far right is located the Ideas area, where we select the Ideas command as shown below. The Idea command looks for patterns in our data that it can use to create intelligent and personalized suggestions.

Once the Ideas command is selected, the Ideas task pane appears at the right of our Spreadsheet as shown in the image below. The Ideas task pane appears showing us the different Graphical representations that it has created according to the Data that we had selected.

We can scroll down in the Ideas task pane in order to view all the other Graphical representations that it has created.

Once we have located on the Graphical representations or Chart in other words that it has created for us, at the bottom left corner of each Chart is located the command Insert Chart. Once we select the command Insert Chart, the Chart will be inserted in our Spreadsheet immediately as shown in the image below.

The Ideas command works much better with well organized data, that doesn’t contain any blank Rows or Columns. It also works better if the Data that we have in our Spreadsheet is formatted as an Excel Table. We should also make sure that we have good Headers for our Columns, where they should be in a single Row with non-blank labels for each Column. We should also avoid double Rows of Headers and Merged Cells.

Η περιοχή Λήψη Δεδομένων & Μετασχηματισμού (Get & Transform) του tab Δεδομένα (Data) της κορδέλας είναι από τις ανώτερες για Συνδέσεις Δεδομένων και για Μετασχηματικές δυνατότητες.
