Στις εφαρμογές του Microsoft Office, μπορούμε να επιλέξουμε για το πώς θα ανοίγουν οι Συνδέσεις (Links). Είτε στον Περιηγητή Ιστού (Browser) είτε σε Εφαρμογές του Office Στον Υπολογιστή (Office Desktop Apps). Με αυτόν τον τρόπο έχουμε εμείς τον έλεγχο της προτιμώμενης λειτουργίας των Συνδέσεων (Links). Αφού ενεργοποιήσουμε αυτό το χαρακτηριστικό, αυτό θα εφαρμοστεί στο Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint και Microsoft Excel.
